How we must appreciate the little things...

We build our lives and bring things into it that we want. We build amazing friendships. We get comfortable in our jobs and our relationships. We get happy and busy with life and all it's joys, we have fun, we rest, we do it over and over. There are so many beautiful things in our full and busy lives.
When was the last time we looked around and appreciated all the great things we have?
Do we appreciate the opportunities? Our good health? Our family and friends? Do we appreciate that someone loves us? Are we taking for granted all the amazing things we have going on?

The little things in our life are so important. Smiles, laughter, gestures, love, friendship, happiness. Sometimes these things go missing, for a little while or forever. We think about how great it was that we ever had it at all. Make the most of everything great in your life by letting those around you know how much you appreciate them.

This year, let's all appreciate our gifts, ourselves, each other, the tiny moments that are given to us that make life richer.

Pay attention to all you have now, steep yourself in it, drink it in, notice it and listen.

How beautiful is our life.

Looking around at my life right now, I notice it is filled with the most interesting, generous people, who help and guide me on my travels. I have the most amazing friends. I see love in its purest form, raw, unwavering and kind. I see smiling faces and hands outstretched for me. This is so real, it's happening right now, I appreciate it.

What do you appreciate?

“Appreciation is a wonderful thing. It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well.”
- Voltaire.

“When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive- to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love-then make that day count!” - Steve Maraboli
